# What is a PSBT

A PSBT, or Partially Signed Bitcoin Transaction, is a standardized format for Bitcoin transactions that aren't fully signed yet. It provides a way to work with transactions that might require multiple signatures or other processes before they're finalized and broadcasted to the Bitcoin network.\

Thanks to PSBTs we are able to sent orders and bids without the need of a smart contract enabling decentralised P2P order books.
